Richard Wayne Jackson

Mr. Richard Wayne Jackson, age 79, of Riddleville died at his residence Friday, November 3, 2023 following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville, Ga. Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate. Burial will be private.

Mr. Jackson was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late James Herman Jackson, Sr. and the late Grace Beddingfield Jackson.  He was preceded in death by his brother, James Herman Jackson, Jr. Mr. Jackson was a research lab technician for Thiele Kaolin Company for 47 years.  He was a member of the Riddleville Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Sandra Cook Jackson of Riddleville; two sons, Michael Wayne Jackson and his wife Angel of Macon and Terry Richard Jackson and his wife Katie Levesque of Ottawa Canada; four grandchildren, Cassi Jackson, Zayne Jackson, Henri Levesque and Jacques Levesque; three brothers, Ronald Jackson and his wife Betty of Riddleville, Henry Jackson and his wife Joy of Riddleville and Bruce Jackson and his wife Edie of Sandersville.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. on Monday.
