Richard Mark Knowles, Jr.

Mr. Richard Mark Knowles, Jr., age 32 of Sandersville, died Sunday, May 15, 2022.  A funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, May 22 ^nd at 3:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Zeta Cemetery.  Reverend Roy Smith will officiate. The family will greet friends Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Richard was born in Macon and reared in Washington County.  He was a 2008 graduate of Washington County High School and attended Oconee Fall Line Technical College where he became a certified welder.  Richard worked as a welder for both Howard Sheppard Inc and Bryan Fabrication prior to working for Duraline Manufacturing.  He was currently employed as a supervisor for Merotec in Statesboro.  Richard loved fishing and possessed a true passion for music.  He cherished spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his father, Richard Mark Knowles Sr. (Donna Brawner) of Sandersville; mother, Sonja T. Knowles of Eatonton; sisters, Elicia K. Manken (John Paul) of Tennille and Tabatha K. Frost (Blake) of Riddleville; nieces and nephews, Gabriel Yawn, Stormy Yawn, Chase Knowles and Abigail Manken; and his maternal grandmother, Betty Ann Edwards of Eatonton.
