Richard Vanoy Sellars

Mr. Richard Vanoy Sellars, age 73, of Deepstep died on Friday August 28, 2015, at his residence following an extended illness.

A memorial service for Mr. Sellars will be held on Saturday, September 5 at 11:00 A.M. in the Deepstep United Methodist Church. Reverend Wallace Smith and Reverend Jason McClendon will officiate.

Mr. Sellars was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late William Kincher Sellars and the late Annie Dell West Sellars. He was a retired shipper with J. P. Stephens Company. He attended the Louisville Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors are his loving companion, Rachel Carol Brewer of Deepstep; a son, Michael Sellars of New Mexico; a sister, Joan Sellars Smith of Fayetteville; a brother, William "Billy" Sellars of Sandersville; other extended family, Carol B. Veal and her husband Jeff of Deepstep, Rebecca Hannah of Jacksonville, Ron Boulineau and his wife Rosanna of Tennille, Jason Boulineau and his wife Michelle of Sandersville, Rhonda Sherrod and her husband Todd of Twin City; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
