Rickie Harold Black

Mr. Rickie Harold Black, age 59, of Sandersville, died Sunday, September 2, 2018 in a Pittsburg PA. Hospital following a brief illness.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 8 ^th at 2:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Brownwood Cemetery.  Reverend Roy Smith and Mr. Michael Salter will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Nicholas Bland, Joe Bridges, Charles Whiddon, Wallace Beasley, Ronnie Waters, and Michael Salter.

Rickie was born in Washington County, the son of the late Johnnie Kinch “Jake” Black and the late Kathrine Crooms Black. He spent his working career as a commercial truck driver formerly with Howard Sheppard Inc. and lastly with B-H Transfer.  He is also predeceased by his sister, Deborah Black Brynteson.

Survivors are: his children, Heather B. Bland of Macon, Justin Black of Forsyth, Jacob Gordon Black of Tennille, Adam Black of Tennille and Rachel Black Green of Sandersville; grandchildren, Nicholas Hayden Bland, Annestin Kathrine Bland, Taylor Michelle Black, Alexandria Renee Black, Joe Gordon Black and Brody Anderson Green and his brother, Johnnie Black of Oconee.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
