Robert Wesley Garrett, age 47, of Davisboro, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023. A public visitation will be held on Monday, April 10 th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville. A family only graveside service will be held on Tuesday with Mr. Richard Jackson and Reverend Stacy Williford officiating.The family may be contacted at the home of Elizabeth Garrett on Hwy. 242, Riddleville.
Robert was born in Dublin and reared in Washington County. He was a 1993 graduate of Brentwood School and attended Heart of Georgia Technical Institute where he studied computer science. Robert began his working career at his family’s business, Garrett’s U.S. Supply in Tennille, prior to beginning a 16-year career with Washington County Machine Shop, where he was currently the supply room manager. He possessed a talent for fixing anything to do with computers and used that skill at his work and for others. Robert had a joy for playing video games and loved hunting, fishing and riding four wheelers. He was known as a humble person with a big heart. His father, William E. “Bill” Garrett III predeceases him.
Survivors are his children, Faith G. Green and her husband Corey of Sandersville and Trey Garrett of Davisboro; mother, Elizabeth H. Garrett of Riddleville; siblings, Scotty Garrett and his wife Susan of Riddleville and Jennifer G. Price of Guyton; nieces and nephews, Colton Price, Anna Price, Austin Garrett and Justin Garrett and his loyal companion Little Boy.
