Robert "Bob" Harrison Lawrence, Jr.

Mr. Robert Harrison “Bob” Lawrence Jr., age 76, of Walden Road in Sandersville, died Monday, November 17, 2014. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 20th at 2:00 PM at the Sisters Baptist Church with burial in Brownwood Cemetery. Reverends Billy Duggan and Jamie Davis will officiate. Pallbearers will be Patrick Sheffield, Europe Brynteson, Chris Napier, Pete McHan, Eugene Griswell, and Lester Everett.

Mr. Lawrence was a native of Washington County the son of the late Robert H. Lawrence Sr. and the late Marjorie Oreta Walker Lawrence May. Bob spent a career in logistics working for Coca Cola Company in Atlanta, Westinghouse in Hampton S.C. and lastly, Springhill Trucking. He was also the former owner of Regal Trucking Company. Bob was a member of the Sisters Baptist Church where he was a former Sunday School Superintendent. He is predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Lawrence.

Survivors are; his wife Jane Cummings Lawrence of Sandersville, children, Marjorie L. Crosby of Sandersville, James Robert Lawrence and his wife Kara of Orlando, FL, and Nancy Marie L. Prosser and her husband Steven of Greenville, NC, grandchildren, Christopher Nolan Crosby and his wife Joni, Hannah Marie Crosby, Garrett McKeen Lawrence, Joshua S. Prosser and Benjamin N. Prosser, one great grandson, Christopher Bret Crosby, his brother, Thomas Wayne Lawrence and his wife Gloria and his sister-in-law Nita Lawrence of Hawkinsville, many nieces and nephews: Allen Lawrence and his wife Chrissy, Rhonda Lawrence McHan and her husband Pete, Tanya Lawrence Carpenter and her husband Dave, Lynn Lawrence Turner and her husband Adam; 3 great-nephews, 5 great-nieces.

The family will be at the Lawrence home on Walden Road in Sandersville and they will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
