Robert Landry

Mr. Robert Arthur “Bobby” Landry, age 69, of Sandersville, died Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at his residence. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 2nd, at 2:00 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene with burial in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Reverend Gary Mimbs and Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate.

Mr. Landry was born in Fitchburg Massachusetts, the son of the late Philip Arthur Landry and the late Emma Lucier Landry Dye. Mr. Landry spent a career in the military serving in the U.S. Air Force and retiring from the U.S. Army. He served in both Vietnam and Dessert Storm. In retirement, Bobby worked for Lapp Insulator and Howard Sheppard Trucking Inc. He was a Mason and a Shriner and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors are: his wife Shirley Smith Landry of Sandersville; daughters, Tina Landry Adams and her husband Hugh of Sandersville and Mary Lou Landry Meeks and her husband Rodney of Soperton; grandchildren, Specialist, Spencer W. Adams, Harley Meagan Adams, Eryn Evelyn Bennett, Robyn Suzanne Meeks, Rebecca Danielle Meeks and Rodney Dusty Meeks.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
