Roberta Powell Brown

Mrs. Julian Roberta Brown, age 89, of 501 Miles Patrick Road in Winder, Georgia died Sunday morning April 26 in a Winder hospital following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PNM Tuesday, April 28, at Smith Funeral Home in Winder. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 29, in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville.

Mrs. Brown was a native of Washington County, the daughter of the late Benjamin Langmaid Powell and the late Fannie Lee Greenway Powell and the wife of the late Grady Lee Brown. She was a former nurse at Washington County Regional Medical Center and Athens Regional Medical Center. She was a wonderful cook and prepared meals for the Tennille Rotary Club for some years. She was a member of the Sandersville United Methodist Church and attended the Pentecostal Methodist Church in Winders.

Survivors are her four sons, Kenneth Michael Brown(Brenda) of Lithonia, Reginald Edwin Brown(Jean) of Lilburn, Benjamin Wayne Brown(Debbie) of Leesburg and Grady Lee Brown, Jr.(Kim) of Panama City Beach, FL.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday evening and from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday.
