Mr. Ronald Thomas Story, age 63, of Sandersville, died on Friday, May 26, 2017, at his residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Victory Central Church in Tennille. Reverend Chad Waller will officiate.
Mr. Story was the son of the late James Thomas Story and the late Roza Smallwood Story. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Carlton Story. Mr. Story was a retired senior road inspector for Kennedy Engineering and Associates. He had worked in concessions at the Masters in Augusta for over fifty years. Mr. Story was the owner of Just Off the Square Coffee Shop in Sandersville and Papa Ron's Skins. He was a former volunteer fireman and first responder for the City of Toomsboro. He was a member of Victory Central Church.
Survivors are his wife, Becky C. Story of Sandersville; two daughters, Heather Story of Augusta and Miranda Story Swint and her husband Thomas of Harlem; four step children, Jacob McNutt and his wife Suann of Sandersville, Levi Lape and his wife Adria of Sandersville, Austin Lape of Vandalia ILL and Katie Lape and Jeff Stone of Brownstown, ILL; twelve grandchildren, Hanna McNutt, Chloe McNutt, Evan McNutt, Ethan Tompkins, Charlie Tompkins, Tyson Lape, Miles Lape, Makyla Stombaugh, Kara Stone, Hunter Stone, Caleb Swint, and Ivy Swint; and a brother, Phillip Story, Sr. and his wife Donna of Matthews.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Saturday.
