Mrs. Rosa Lee Lindsey Brown, age 80, of Sandersville, died Friday, March 10, 2017. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Washington County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Brian Roundtree, Ted Cooper, Stanley Barfield, David Dollar, Garnet Brown, and Danny Lindsey.
Mrs. Brown was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Jesse Lindsey and the late Nancy Trudie Kitchens Lindsey. She was a homemaker and formerly worked for Royal Manufacturing. Mrs. Brown loved camping and fishing and she was an avid Braves fan. She is predeceased by her husband Pete F. Brown.
Survivors are, her daughter, Arlene B. Durden and her husband Winnifred Johnny of Tennille; her grandchildren, Sonya Durden and John Gee of Dublin, and Joshua Durden of Sandersville; great grandchildren, Heather Corbett and J.T. Gee and her sister, Catherine L. Leverett of Sandersville.
The family will be at the Brown residence on Riddleville Road in Sandersville and they will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
