Mrs. Ruby Waller McLean, age 91, of 519 Highway 68 South in Tennille died Tuesday September 15 in the Washington County Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday September 19 in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Mark Jones and Elder Kenneth Brantley will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Anderson, Chris Anderson, Tim Anderson, Eric Boling, Jack Davis and Raymond Byrnes.
Mrs. McLean was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Horace Waller and the late Anna Belle Brantley Waller. She was predeceased by her husbands, Alonza Thomas Swint, Sr. and Frank McLean, her son, Tommy Swint and a grandson, Donnie Saire. She had previously worked for Carters Manufacturing Company and Royal Manufacturing Company. Mrs. McLean was a member of the Tennille Baptist Church. Miss Ruby will be remembered for her keen sense of humor. She brought laughter to everyone around her and enjoyed entertaining friends and family with many songs. Everyone knows she had of way of getting her point across and you always knew where you stood. Life was more enjoyable in the last two years by having her caregiver, Jackie Clements, as a living companion and friend. Jeanne Sanders has been a family friend and a “fourth daughter” to Miss Ruby. The family would like to thank Dr. Bridgette Bailey, her primary physician for her dedication and loving care and Dr. Robert Wright and the staff of Washington Regional Medical Center for their special care while Miss Ruby was a patient in the hospital.
Survivors are her daughters, Geraldine Swint Saire of Walland, Tn., Jeannette Swint Anderson of Raleigh, NC and Charlotte Swint Barnett of Birmingham, Al., seven grandchildren, Michele Pescatore, Kevin Anderson, Chris Anderson, Dr. Laurie Anderson, Tim Anderson, Eric Boling and Todd Boling, five great grandchildren, Sabrina Pescatore, Caleb Baker Anderson, Ellison Anderson, Lauren Boling and Trey Boling, a sister, Mary W. Weller of Sandersville, a brother, Julius Waller of Sandersville, a special niece, Vicki Brennan of Sandersville and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Friday.
