Rubye Grace Palmer

September 3, 1925 — April 3, 2013

Miss Rubye Grace Palmer, age 87, of Harrison died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, in the Extended Care Facility following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 6th, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in the Harrison Cemetery. Minister William Moody will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ray Guy, Palmer McCall, Clyde Bland, Joe Kitchens and Ronnie Kendall.

Miss Palmer was a native of Washington County, Georgia but had lived in Macon for many years. She was the daughter of the late Jay D. Palmer and the late Rubye Gold Palmer. She was a retired bookkeeper for Goldman’s Clothing store. Miss Palmer was a member of the Tennille Christian Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a charter member of the Macon Christian Church.

Survivors are: her sister, Joyce Palmer McCall and her husband Dr. Michael A. McCall of Nebo, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home from 2:00 P.M. on Saturday until the hour of service.

The family suggests donations be made to the Extended Care Facility Family Council, P. O. Box 636, Sandersville, Georgia 31082 or to Hospice Advantage, 606 West Court Street, Wrightsville, Georgia 31096.

May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
