Rufus Earl Woodcock, age 87, of Milledgeville, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020. Funeral Services for Rufus Woodcock will be conducted Friday, January 17, 2020 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville with Bishop Wilse Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Heritage Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Friday, January 17, 2020 from 2:00pm until the service hour.
Pallbearers will be Byron Henderson, Stephen Ashley, Ryan Ashley, Nicholas Hardin, Noah Hardin, and Hayden Hardin.

A native of Metter, Georgia, Rufus was born January 12, 1933 to the late James Inman Woodcock, Sr. and the late Amanda Wilson Woodcock. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Louise Vanbrackle Woodcock, and by a son, Ronald Ellie Woodcock. In his younger years, Rufus enjoyed camping, traveling, and working on lawnmowers. He loved his church and his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His door was always open and he was always willing to share whatever he had with family, friends, and neighbors. Rufus was a member of Chosen Church of God in Eatonton.

Rufus is survived by: his children, Cathy Henderson of Conyers, Randy (& Robin) Woodcock of Guyton, Vanessa (& Adrian) Ashley of Sandersville, and Glenn (& Susan) Woodcock of Marietta ; 10 Grandchildren, Melanie (& Marcus) Hardin, Jennifer Floyd, Byron (Shanee) Henderson, Laura (Josh) Wagers, Heather (Jimmy) Blackmon, Stephen (Emily) Ashley, Stephanie (Jackson) Attaway, Ryan (Julie) Ashley, Cassie Broussard, and Brandon Broussard; 16 great grandchildren.
