Ruthie Sheley

Mrs. Ruthie Sheley, age 66, of Davisboro, died Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Washington County Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, October 24th at 2:00 p.m. at Culverton Baptist Church Cemetery in Culverton, Hancock County.  Chris Brake will officiate.

Ruthie was born in Sparta and reared in Culverton, the daughter of the late Warren "Bo" Clark and the late Endia C. Clark.  She graduated from John Hancock Academy, married the love of her life Randy and moved to Washington County. She spent most of her working career in the classroom with the Washington County Board of Education as a paraprofessional. Prior to retiring, Ruthie managed E Z Storage Company. She loved working in her yards and growing flowers. Being outdoors and hunting and fishing with Randy were some of her favorite things to do. Her siblings Benny Clark, Kay Clark, Willie Clark and Barbara Clark Goldman all predecease her.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Randy Sheley of Davisboro; sons, Jared Sheley (Tori) of Milledgeville and Jon Sheley (Audrey Lanthrip) of Warthen; grandchildren, Lincoln, Zoe, P.J., and Cain; siblings Ed Clark, Lilimae Capehart, Jerry Clark and Joann Harned; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to the Culverton Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
