Samuel Prosser

Mr. Sam Prosser, of Sandersville, died Tuesday, August 9, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, August 13, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Danny Thomas and Reverend Tripp Hodges will officiate.

Mr. Prosser was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late Samuel Elijah Prosser and the late Ivis McClendon Prosser. He spent his career in the trucking business formerly owning and operating Prosser Trucking prior to driving for B-H Transfer, Howard Sheppard Trucking and Cook Trucking. Mr. Prosser is predeceased by his first wife Dorothy Lanthrip Prosser.

Survivors include: his wife, Brenda Robinson Prosser of Sandersville; children, Sherry Prosser Webb and her husband Dereck of Wrightsville, James Prosser and his wife Kim of Dublin, Ronald Prosser and his wife Kenya of Ocala FL., Heath Hannah and his companion Kim, Brad Hannah all of Sandersville and Tara Hannah Redding and her husband Kery of Statesboro; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brother, Jerry Prosser and his wife Pam of Spruce Pine, NC.

May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
