Mrs. Bess Freeman, age 88, of Conyers died October 19 from complications from Alzheimers at Sacred Heart Hospice in McDonough.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday October 22 at Salem United Methodist Church in Covington. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille.
Mrs. Freeman was born in Macon but grew up in Oconee. She was the daughter of the late Henry Frank Bennett and the late Sarah Pearl Womack Bennett.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, the Rev. Dr. G. Ross Freeman, daughters, Joye Hancock and her husband Steve and Merrie Posey and her husband Steve, a son, the Rev. Dr. George R. Freeman, Jr. and his wife Peggy, nine grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salem United Methodist Church or the Tennille United Methodist Church.
May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
