Sara Meeks Johnson

Mrs. Sara Meeks Johnson, age 87, of Tennille, died Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the Heritage Health Care of Toomsboro. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 22nd at 11:00am at the Mt. Hope UMC Cemetery in Hancock County. Rev. Danny Thomas will officiate.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Hancock County the daughter of the late Zelna T. Meeks and the late Viola Epps Meeks. She was a long time resident of Sparta where she worked for John Hancock Academy as a librarian and dietician. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Mt. Hope UMC and she is predeceased by her husband Sterling J. Johnson.

Survivors are her brother, Harold (Ellen) Meeks of Tennille and nieces and nephews.
