Sarah Sanders Berryman

Ms. Sarah Sanders Berryman, age 68, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, December 12, 2014 following an extended illness. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December, 15th at 2:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Washington County Memorial Gardens. Reverend Danny Roundtree will officiate. Pallbearers will be Danny Myers, Dwayne Myers, Walt Myers, Randy Sanders, Simon Levy and Lonnie Sanders.

Ms. Berryman was born in Washington County the daughter of the late John Sanders and the late Lucy Pounds Sanders. She was a former resident of Athens where she worked for Athens Metal. Ms. Berryman moved home to Sandersville to live at Hunter’s Run Apartments where she became a resident volunteer, leading bible studies and activities in spite of her health challenges. She was a member of the Sisters Baptist Church.

Survivors are; her sons Danny Myers and his wife Rachel of Watkinsville and Dwayne Myers and his wife Erin of Bogart, her “adoptive son” and nephew Walt Myers of Cannon, grandchildren, Sara Jane Myers, Simon Levy and Mary Claire Hammond, siblings, Grady Sanders and his wife Bert, Linda Walters and her husband Mack all of Sandersville, Allowee Myers of Cannon, David Sanders and his wife Dianne of Augusta, Marie Keyton and her husband Sammy of Wrightsville, and John Allen Sanders of Tennille and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
