Sarah Davis Garner

Mrs. Sarah Davis Garner, age 74, of Sandersville died on Monday morning November 3 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 6, in the Sisters Baptist Church with burial in the Sisters Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Rev. Bert Parker and Rev. Lee Lacey will officiate.

Mrs. Garner was a native of White City, Alabama, the daughter of the late John L. Davis. She was a graduate of Cleveland High School in Cleveland, Alabama. Mrs. Garner had worked with the Wilkinson County Extension Service and retired from the Wilkin son County Tax Assessors Office as a personal property appraiser after 31 years of service. She was a talented seamstress and floral designer. Mrs. Garner was a member of the Sisters Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Billy C. Garner of Sandersville, a daughter, Charlene Garner Kay of Sandersville, two grandchildren, Davis Kay and Sophie Kay, her mother, Ruth Smoot Davis of Austin, Texas, a sister, Mary Davis Smith of Austin, Texas.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
