Sarah Shellhouse Singletary

Ms. Sarah Shellhouse Singletary, age 79, of 112 McDaniel Drive in Sandersville passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013 in an Augusta hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 13th, in the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Warthen. Reverends Tim Powell and Danny Thomas will officiate with burial in the Washington County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Thomas Brown, Trey Stovall, Ridge Price, Conner Hardie, Cameron Peavy, Carson Peavy, Christian Lovett and Marshall Lovett.


Ms. Singletary was a native of Dawson, Georgia, the daughter of the late John Paul Nichols and the late Leila O'Hearn. She had lived in Sandersville for many years and was a homemaker.


Survivors are her companion, Freddie Lovett of Sandersville; a son, Richard Singletary of Sandersville; three daughters, Joan S. Price and her husband Paul of Dublin, Angela S. Brown and her husband Tommy of Warthen, and Debra S. Stovall and her husband Fabin of Dublin; a sister, Bobbie Jean Moreland of Albany; fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great- grandchildren.


The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening.
