Sarah Slater

Miss Sarah Slater, age 82, of Tennille, died Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Washington County Extended Care Facility. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate.

Miss Slater was born in Emanuel County and she was the daughter of the late Fred Slater and the late Cleary Edenfield Slater. She was the former owner and operator of the Flower Basket in Tennille.  She also formerly worked for Tennille Banking Company and was the former Church Secretary of Tennille Baptist Church where she was a member.

Miss Slater is survived by many relatives and friends.
