Mrs. Sarah Anne Trussell, age 80, of Sandersville, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning October 19, 2022 at Heritage Inn following an extended illness. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, October 21 st at 3:00 p.m. at Sisters Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Reverend Jason Loggins will officiate. Family will receive friends from 2 pm until hour of service at the church.
Mrs. Trussell was a native and lifelong resident of Sandersville, the daughter of the late Julian Roberson and the late Bernice Dixon Roberson. She graduated from Washington County High School and began her working career at Newsome's Pharmacy. Later, Sarah Anne served as the Kindergarten Director at Sisters Church Preschool, prior to becoming the receptionist at Washington County High School from which she retired. She was a faithful WaCo Hawks supporter often volunteering at sporting events. Mrs. Trussell was a member of Sisters Baptist Church and loved to spend time outdoors especially working in her yard.
Survivors include her husband, William Dean Trussell of Sandersville; sons, Troy Trussell and his wife Denise of Milledgeville and Eric Trussell of Sandersville; and grandsons, Nicholas Dean Trussell and Christopher James Trussell.
