Mrs. Saralynn Foskey Everett, age 81, of East Church Street in Sandersville, died Thursday, December 10, 2015. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 13th at 3:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. The Reverend Dr. Joe Buck IV will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Everett, Stephen Everett, Johnathan McAfee, Tim Suddeth, Travis Stanley and Reid Webster.
Mrs. Everett was a native of Johnson County the daughter of the late John F. Foskey and the late Verdie Spence Foskey. She managed the Belk Department Store in Sandersville prior to her career in banking with the Citizens Bank of Washington County from which she retired. Mrs. Everett continued to work in her retirement for Walmart. Much of her joy came from cooking meals for her family and an occasional trip to Cherokee, North Carolina. She was a member of the Sandersville United Methodist Church and she is predeceased by her husband John David Everett Sr. and her son Jerrell Allen Everett.
Survivors are: her sons, Charles Keith Everett and his wife Sharron of Tennille, Sterling Everett and his partner Jack Schellenberg, and John David Everett Jr. all of Macon; her daughter-in-law Rita Barrentine of Sandersville; grandchildren, Jerry Everett of Atlanta, and Dr. Stephen Everett and his wife Kati of Sandersville; great-grandchildren, Cole and Rue Everett; and her sister Doris F. Suddeth of Macon.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the Funeral Home.
