Sewilla Parker

Miss Sewilla Parker, age 96, of Warthen died Saturday, December 2, 2017, in an Augusta hospital.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 4, 2017, in Bethlehem Baptist Church in Warthen with burial in Bethlehem Church Cemetery.  Reverend Tim Powell will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Walt Parker, Lee Parker, Carlton Parker, Keith Parker, Kevin Parker and Anthony Parker.

Miss Parker was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Ira Lee Parker, Sr. and the late Lida Todd Parker.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Hubbard and her brothers, Roy Parker, Jesse Parker and Walter Parker.    Miss Parker was a licensed practical nurse having worked for Rawlings Hospital and Washington County Regional Medical Center.  She was the oldest member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Survivors are her brothers; Bobby Parker, Sr. and his wife Linda of Tennille and Ira Lee "Duck" Parker, Jr. of Warthen; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. on Sunday.
