Sharon K. Adkinson

Ms. Sharon Wiley Adkinson, age 82, of West Adams Street in Tennille, GA, formerly of Atlanta, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Sunday, June 29, 2025.  Her family will gather to celebrate her life at a later date.

Sharon Kay Wiley was born and reared in Toledo, Ohio, daughter of the late Earl J. Wiley and the late LaVerne Kirkman Wiley.  She was raised by her father and many aunts and uncles due to the premature death of her mother.  Her father remarried Sharon’s "bonus mother" and as a teenager they transitioned to Miami Florida, where she graduated from Hialeah High School.  Following high school, Sharon moved to Atlanta where she began her working career as an airline flight attendant for Eastern Airlines. For many years she was a home maker and mother to her daughter Beth. She was a member of Mount Paran Church of God.  Sharon began a professional career in real estate with Northside Realty in Atlanta, prior to transitioning to Ticor Relocation, which later became Prudential Relocation, where she was a client relations manager until retirement.  In retirement, Sharon worked at Atlanta's Berkshire Hathaway as property manager.  She later relocated to Tennille to live with her daughter and son-in-law.

Survivors include, her daughter, Beth A. Lindsey and her husband R. Keith Lindsey of Tennille, GA.; her granddaughter, Sarah L. Chandler and her husband Steven; great grandchildren, who she loved dearly, Kaylee, Turner and Maddilynn Chandler all of Sandersville; her "bonus mother" Winnifred Wiley, her brother, Greg Wiley and his fiancé Lisa Crawford all of Tampa Florida, nephews, Chad and Elisa Wiley and Casey and Kim Wiley, great nieces and nephews and a very special friend and care giver, Bobby Roberson.

Sharon's family would like to thank David and Erica, of Georgia Hospice Care of Dublin, for making her final journey peaceful and comfortable.
