Sherry Lewis Peeler

Sherry Lewis Peeler, age 51, of Tennille, died Saturday, June 14, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 17th at 2:00pm at the Union Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Danny Thomas and Rev. Robert Cash will officiate. Pallbearers will be Roger Norwood, Timothy Jackson, T.J. Jackson, Patrick Wilkerson, Dalton Davis, Jordan Davis, Michael Barnes and William Smith.

Sherry was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County the daughter of the late Eugene Wilson Lewis and the late Catherine Johnson Lewis. She was a former paraprofessional with the Washington County School System and also a former employee of the Dairy Lane. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Sherry is predeceased by her husband, William “Bobo” Peeler; son, Will Peeler; niece, Charlie Lynn Smith; and her brother, Ricky Lewis.

Survivors are; her siblings, Danny E. Lewis and his wife Cheryle of Sandersville, Regina L. Jackson and her husband Timmy of Louisville, Karen L. Smith and her husband Charles of Tennille, Kerry L. Lewis of Tennille and Brian K. Lewis and his wife Mechelle of Bartow, nieces and nephews, Daniel Clements, Adam Clements, Chasen Smith, Cody Smith, Timothy Jackson, T.J. Jackson, Taylor Jackson, Ricky Smith, Austin Smith, Lynn Smith, Pam Reece, Missy Smith, Dalton Davis, Jordan Davis, Cheyenne Dutton and Brandon Yates.

The family will be at the Lewis/Smith residence on Hwy. 15 South of Tennille and they will receive friends on Monday from 6pm to 8pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
