Shirley Atha Wilbanks

Mrs. Shirley A. Wilbanks, age 61, of 308 Fourth Street in Tennille died on Sunday, July 10th in the University Hospital in Augusta. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July13 at 11:00 A.M. in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Reverend Andy Yates and Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate.

Mrs. Wilbanks was a native of Walton County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Grady Paul Atha. She was a retired home health care manager.

Survivors are her husband, Johnny Wilbanks of Tennille, a daughter, Miriam Hancock and her husband Justin of Sandersville, a son, Ashley Wilbanks and his wife Tammi of Sandersville, her mother, Drue Willie Atha of Monroe, four grandchildren, Savannah Wilbanks, Summer Wilbanks, Cody Hancock and Rhett Hancock, two brothers, Ronnie Atha and his wife Lynn of Social Circle and Randy Atha and his wife Sandra of Monroe.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
