Stanley Jackson Brown

A funeral service for Stanley Jackson Brown 81, of Jacksonville, FL will be held in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South Jacksonville, FL 32216 with Pastor Lee Lacey officiating, on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 11AM. Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery. A memorial service will also be held in Sandersville at Sandersville First Baptist Church on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.

Mr. Brown was born in Tennille, GA and was a long-time resident of Jacksonville, FL, more recently; he made Sandersville, GA his home. He was a thirty-three-year member of the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department, rising to the rank of Captain. His last station was fire department ladder tower 9.

He is survived by his loving wife; Kathy Brown his daughter Tammy Jones (Jim) and one step-daughter; Angela Moore (Mike), six grandchildren; Timothy Jones (Jessica), Amanda Wilson (Andrew), Daniel Jones (Faith), Melody Sanchez (Jor-El), Sydney Castro and Landon Castro and nine great grandchildren; Jackson Jones, James Jones, Jonathan Jones, Charlotte Jones, Alice Jones, Eleanora Wilson, Wade Wilson, Kal-El Sanchez and Baby Elijah Wilson. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 between the hours of 6-8PM.
