Stephen "Stevie" Eugene Garner

Mr. Stephen Eugene “Stevie” Garner, age 55, of Warthen, died Friday, November 07, 2014 at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 9th, at 3:00 p.m. at the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The Reverend Tim Powell will officiate.

Stevie was born in Macon. He was a former resident of Conyers where he was a member of the Porterdale Baptist Church. Stevie was a career mechanic and his last employment was with WaCo Med. Travel. He was an Eagle Scout and an avid outdoorsman and hunter. Stevie is predeceased by his father, Stephen Soloman Garner; and grandparents, C. W. and Nancy Garner and Eugene and Ila Walker.

Survivors are his mother, Betty Walker Garner of Warthen; sisters, Debra G. Haney and her husband Don of Tunnel Hill and Melissa G. Garner and her husband Eric of Tennille; his uncle, H.J. Garner of Warrenton; and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at their residence on Mansfield Brown Road in Warthen.
