Mr. Sterling Floyd Lewis, age 65, of 532 North Indian Trail Road in Deepstep died Monday morning November 9 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday November 12 in the Union Baptist Church near Warthen with burial in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Wayne Hamilton will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ronny Waters, Timmy Norwood, Andy Lewis, Hansel Everett, Jimmy Norwood, Dana Waters and Brad Crook.
Mr. Lewis was a native of Washington County, the son of the late Newman Lee Lewis and the late Zena Louise Frazier Lewis. He was a retired mechanic. He was a member of the Deepstep United Methodist Church and the Methodist Mens Club.
Survivors are his wife, Belinda Fountain Lewis of Deepstep, his children, Flan (Nekee) Lewis of Macon, Pamela (Mike) Miller of Lizella, Steven (Kathleen) Lewis of Macon and Brandie Lewis of Deepstep, three grandchildren, Jennifer Miller, Melissa Miller and Nathan Lewis, a sister, Marie Lewis Waters of Sandersville, mother in law, Eula Gibson of Sparta, several nieces and nephews and a close friend, C. T. Harris.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday evening.
