Steve "Rocky" Dupree

Mr. Steve Rockland "Rocky" Dupree, age 66, of Wadley, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021 at the Comfort Creek Nursing Home in Wadley.   A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 24th at 2:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille.  Pastor Weston Williford will officiate.

Rocky was born in Dodge County and reared in both Dodge and Washington Counties.  He was the son of the late Jerry Dupree and the late Johnnie Bell Kennedy Clark.  Rocky worked for WaCo Electric Company in Sandersville prior to his retirement.  He was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and Nascar. Rocky loved to hunt and fish. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Kathy Dupree and Connie Etheridge.

Survivors include his children, Steve R. Dupree II of Milledgeville, Stephanie Dupree of Bartow, Shelley Brantley of Warthen and Rachel Frost of Tennille; grandchildren, Elijah Ward, Caitlyn Ward, Spencer Ward, Zachary Fussell, Braedon Dupree, Kinlee Brantley, Carston Ayer, and Addisyn Kate Anderson; and siblings, Ricky Dupree, Gina Murphy, Keith Robinson, Todd Robinson and Oscar Clark.

The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Thursday at the Funeral Home.
