Steve Nelson

Mr. Steven Elmo Nelson, age 78, of Deepstep died at his residence on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, following an extended illness.

Mr. Nelson was a native of Jacksonville Florida, the son of the late John R. Nelson and the late Virginia Hornsby Nelson. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christian Nicole Kurlin.  Mr. Nelson was a general contractor and an expert in all types of flooring installation. He was a servant of God.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Eaton Nelson of Deepstep; two daughters, Angela Hope Kelley and her husband Kenneth of Jacksonville FL, and Tracy Michele Curry and her husband Thomas of Deepstep; two sons, Steven Elmo Nelson, Jr. of Deepstep and Russel Scot Nelson of Winder; Seven grandchildren, Kenneth Kelley, Jr., Thomas Paul Curry, Jr., Torre Mirandon Shepker, Tyler Steven Curry, Korey Kelley, Summer Nelson, and Dillon Nelson,  ten great grandchildren, Haylee Kurlin, Maverick Curry Shepker, Trenten Shepker, Andrew Shepker, Everett Shepker, Mitchell Shepker, Kaylan Curry, Adyson Curry, Thomas P. Curry III and Scarlett Dunson.
