Sue Fowler Hodges

December 12, 1952 — November 24, 2011

Mrs. Sue Fowler Hodges, age 58, of Sandersville, died Thursday, November 24, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2:00pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Bay Springs Cemetery in Oconee. Rev. Tripp Hodges will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jeff Etheridge, Benji Hodges, Vinnie Robinson, Dan McCoy, Gene Brown, and Jason Prince.

Mrs. Hodges was born in Laurens County and raised in Washington County the daughter of the late Richard Louis Fowler and the late Annie Lizzie Johnson Yates. She was a former laboratory technician working in the paper lab of Imerys Pigments. Sue was a member of the Oconee Church of God.

Survivors are; her husband Buddy Hodges, children, Buddy Hodges III, Ricky Hodges (Tonya) and Kelli Hodges all of Sandersville, grandchildren, Hailey Hodges, Anna Hodges, Nathan Hodges, Ryan Hodges, Nicholas Mitchell and Averi Mitchell and her sister Anne F. Etheridge also of Sandersville.

The family will be at the residence of Ricky and Tonya Hodges 500 Panther Branch Rd. and they will receive friends on Saturday from 4 to 6pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
