Susan Patricia Collins

Susan P. Collins, age 79, of Shiloh, NC, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center.

Susan was born in Tennille, Georgia on September 12, 1945, to the late M.D. Tanner and Ruth V. Tanner. In addition to her parents, she saw preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Douglas Collins, as well as her sister, Shirley Wright.

Susan was known to many as Ms. Susan of Dogwood Property Management, where she was employed until her death. Everyone loved to hear about her children and grandchildren.

Susan is survived by her daughters, Debra Swain (Dale) of Elizabeth City, North Carolina and Marsha Arviv (Harold) of Toronto, Canada; sons, Ronald “Rocky” Collins (Pam) and Donald Collins of Shiloh, North Carolina; grandchildren, Adam and Scott Swain of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Jennifer Sanders (Courtney) of Shiloh, North Carolina, Alexis Arviv, Kayla Arviv Stanojevic (Alex), and Oriana Arviv of Toronto, Canada; great-grandsons, Jack and Teddy Swain; and her only great-granddaughter, Caroline Sanders of Shiloh, NC. Susan is also survived by a special niece, Shirl Lindsey, of Sandersville, Georgia; nephews, Ken and Mike Wright; sister-in-law, Yvonne Collins of Ocean View, Delaware; and her dear friends, Annette Carter of Elizabeth City, North Carolina and Anthony Martinez of Anchorage, Alaska.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
