Susan Thompson Ross

Susan Thompson Ross, age 64, of Davisboro, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 following a brief illness.  Susan's family will receive friends as her residence on Old Davisboro Road, Davisboro, on Tuesday December 19th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Susan was born in Swainsboro and reared in Bartow, the daughter of the late Hugh Dorsey Thompson and the late Lillian Arrington Thompson. She graduated from Wadley High School and began her working career in childcare. Susan was a homemaker while raising her children and later followed her love for growing and tending flowers by working at the Flower Garden in Sandersville. Lastly, she worked in retail for Enmarket. She loved cooking sweets, especially for her grandchildren and she also loved to crochet. In addition to her parents, Susan is predeceased by her husband, Doug Ross and brothers, Ray Thompson and Steve Thompson.

Survivors include her sons, Eric Ross and his wife Leigh of Deepstep and Kevin Ross of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Nova Ross, Hunter Ross, Briana Holtzclaw, Kevin Ross Jr., Zane Ross, Kelly Ross and Alaina Ross; great grandchildren, Ashton Ross, Spencer Worley and Slater Holtzclaw; siblings, Johnny Thompson, Claude Thompson and his wife Janice, and Violet Brannan and her husband Van; and partner and companion, Aurthur Buckholts.
