Mrs. Susie Peavy Boatright, age 73, of 101 West Third Avenue in Tennille died on Thursday March 4 in the Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday March 8 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. The Rev. Lamar Brantley will officiate.
Mrs. Boatright was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late James Peavy and the late Maybelle Price Peavy. She was the wife of the late Francis “Frog” Boatright and was predeceased also by her son Francis Clinton Boatright, her daughter Sue Ellen Boatright and a brother, Johnny Peavy. Mrs. Boatright was a retired machinist for Delta Apparel Company. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors are her children, Joe Thomas Boatright of Buchanan and Warren Lee Boatright of Sandersville, several grandchildren, her sisters, Trudy Peavy Pierce of Covington and Mattie Peavy Wallace of Piedmont, Alabama, three brothers, James Eugene Peavy of McDonough, George Peavy of Albany and Robbie Peavy of Warner Robins.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. on Sunday.
