Sybil B. Brown

Mrs. Sybil B. Brown, age 82, of Tennille, died Monday, January 30, 2017, following an extended illness.   A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 1st at 2:00 p.m. at Washington County Memorial Gardens.  Reverend Roy Smith will officiate.

Mrs. Brown was a native of Green County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Henry Ira Brinkley and the late Myra Stuart Brinkley.  She graduated from Green County High School as the class valedictorian.  Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and also formerly worked as a substitute teacher.   She loved flowers, gardening and cooking.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, Ricky Brown of Tennille; son, Timothy Harold Marchman and his wife Lynn of Macon; grandson, Timothy Christopher Marchman; brothers, Cecil Brinkley of Cairo, and Melvin Brinkley of Watkinsville; and sister, Deborah Brantley of Macon.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
