Sylvia Mae Bennett

Mrs. Sylvia Mae Bennett, age 91 of Macon, formerly of Augusta, died on December 31, 2023. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 5 in the Westover Cemetery in Augusta, Georgia.  Pastor Weston Williford will officiate.

Mrs. Bennett was a native of Washington County but had lived in Augusta for many years prior to moving to Macon. She was the daughter of the late Herbert May and the late Lillie Mae Harvey May.  She was the wife of the late Travis Bennett and the mother of the late Glen Mobley.

Survivors are her daughters, Judy B. Peters and her husband Roger of Forsyth and Patricia Gardner; son, Travis Dureal Bennett, Jr. of Batabia New York; granddaughter, Nicole Leigh Hsieh-Richardson and her husband Jon of Bonaire; grandchildren, Natalie & Jennifer; great grandchildren, Corey, Emily, Patrick, Donovan, Maya, and Maddie; and her beloved cat, Pebbles.
