Ms. Tammy Baugus Jackson, age 58 of Tennille passed on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Augusta University Medical Center following an extended illness. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville. Reverend Bobby Williford will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Ms. Jackson was born in Sandersville on September 5, 1963 the daughter of the late Marvin O’Dell Baugus and the late Barbara Ann Tanner. Tammy spent the majority of her life in Washington County. She was a unique person with a quick wit and friendly personality. Those who knew Tammy loved her and enjoyed spending time with her. She attended Kendall Heights Church of God. In addition to her parents, Tammy is predeceased by her husband, Carlton Jackson.
Ms. Jackson is survived by her son, Brandon Emory Attaway and Amie of Milledgeville; stepchildren, Christina Mangus and Michael Jackson; several grandchildren; sisters, Sheryl B. Williford and her husband Bobby and Melissa “Missy” McKinney both of Tennille; brother, Richard Baugus and his wife Teresa of Milledgeville; Aunts, Cathy B. Lord and her husband Jimmy and Shirley B. Buttersworth, both of Sandersville; significant other, Steve Smith of Tennille; niece, Kelly W. Long and her husband Joe of Tennille; nephew, Weston Williford and his wife Erica of Sandersville; a great niece and several great nephews; and many cousins and friends.
