Ted "Dan" Daniel Veal

Mr. Ted Daniel "Dan" Veal, age 49, of Tennille, died on Friday, February 17, 2017, in the Extended Care Facility following an extended illness.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 19, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville, with burial in Piney Mount United Methodist Church Cemetery. Reverend Alan Heath will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Tony French, Josh Evans, Shelby Wood, Matthew Yates, Charles Smith, Jr., and John Hollie.

Mr. Veal had lived in Washington County for many years and was a member of the Bethesda Christian Church. He was a retired supervisor for C. T. Harris Inc.

Survivors are: his wife, Debra Smith Veal of Tennille; two sons, Joshua Brandon Veal and Taylor Daniel Veal both of Tennille; granddaughter, Dannielle Sayge Veal; parents, Ted Leonard Veal and Theresa Bryan Veal of Tennille; brother, Scott Veal and his wife Mary Margaret of Gibson; mother and father in law, Sandra and Randy Smith of Tennille; sister and brother in law, Delene and Tony French; brother in law, Charles Smith, Jr.

The family will greet friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 1:00 P.M. Sunday until the hour of service at 2:00 P.M. The family may be contacted at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Smith, 2100 Highway 68 South in Tennille.
