Tempie Mae Alexander

Ms. Tempie Alexander, age 74, of Davisboro, died Sunday, January 20, 2013, in Augusta following an extended illness. A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 22ND, at 2:00 p.m. at the Davisboro City Cemetery. The Rev. Larry Glover will officiate, and pallbearers will be Ronny Norris, Jamie Golden, David Cobb and Gary Cobb.

Ms. Alexander was born in Washington County the daughter of the late Newton Alexander and the late Ruby Morris Alexander. She worked as a professional secretary, retiring from the Presbyterian Seminary in Atlanta, where she resided for many years prior to retirement to her home in Davisboro. She was a member of the Davisboro Baptist Church and had a lifelong love for reading cook books and cooking.

Survivors are: her aunts, Jerlene A. Ferris of Powder Springs and Alene A. Davis of Rockmart; and numerous cousins including Betty Golden and her husband Jamie of Augusta, her caregivers.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the cemetery.
