Teresa Marie Marone

Ms. Teresa Marie Marone, age 64 of Tennille passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin. A memorial service to celebrate Ms. Marone’s life will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. Reverend Leslie Stavely will officiate.

Ms. Marone was born on April 18, 1957 at Mast Hospital in Myrtle Point, Oregon, the daughter of the late Ernest Deal Watson and the late Mildred Lorain Davidson Morgan. She was raised in Coos County, Oregon and moved to Georgia in October of 1993. Ms. Marone spent most of her working career in the food service industry as a waitress, working locally at the former China King Restaurant and at China Buffett. She enjoyed arts and crafts, as well as music and reading. Her greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally. Ms. Marone was a Christian by faith and a member of Praising Him Ministries in Wrens.

Ms. Marone is survived by her children, C.J. Johnson and Coreen Johnson (Michael), both of Tennille; grandchildren, Daniel Johnson, Brittney Johnson, Stephanie Johnson, A iden Johnson, Adam Johnson; great grandchild, Everly Sellars; and sister, Cindy Dupree of Portland, Oregon.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
