Terry Kenneth Mcneely

Mr. Terry Kenneth McNeely, age 72, of Sandersville, died on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Veterans Hospital in Dublin following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M.  Monday, February 3 in May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in Davisboro Cemetery. Reverend Ron Dixon will officiate. Pallbearers will be Brent Palmer, Wes Palmer, Rex Jones, Chuck Reece, Joey Reece, Mikey Shelton, Logan Western, Gavin Gilreath, and Zane Gilreath.

Mr. McNeely was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late Earl McNeely and the late Emma Johnson McNeely.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Ann McNeely. Mr. McNeely was a supervisor for Lapp Insulator for thirty-two years and an employee of Broken Shackle Ranch in Davisboro for over six years. He was an Air Force veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict.  He was a member of Davisboro Methodist Church and served as a volunteer fireman with the Davisboro Fire Department. He was a devoted father and grandfather.

Survivors are his wife, Kathryn W. McNeely of Sandersville; his children, Amanda M. Scott and her husband Jonathan of Wrightsville, Byron Earl McNeely of Tallahassee, Katrina Reece and her husband Vince of Sandersville, Kita Western and her fiancé Chris of Tennille, Miranda Reece and her husband Joey of Warthen and Samantha Jones and her husband Rex of Sandersville, twenty four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Sunday.
