Thelma Claire Hodges Chapman

Mrs. Thelma Claire Hodges Chapman, age 89, of 2355 Adams Road in Sandersville died Thursday April 23 in the Heritage Health Care in Toomsboro.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday April 26 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville.

Mrs. Chapman was a native of Wilkerson County, the daughter of the late Huel Alex Hodges and the late Annie Lou Hodges. She was a homemaker and a member of the Deepstep United Methodist Church. Mrs. Chapman was a faithful member for over twenty eight years and former secretary of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Chapman was a member of the Annie Lou Hodges Circle of the Tennille United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by a grandson, Charles Chapman

Survivors are her husband, Louis A. (Coconut) Chapman of Sandersville, her children, Teddie Louis
(Gudrun) Chapman of Marietta, Henry C. (Shirley) Chapman of Tennille, Patricia C. Franklin-Ramage of Milledgeville and David Morris (Ida) Chapman of Sandersville, two sisters, Sarah Ruth Boatright of Toomsboro and Francis Englert of New Orleans, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Saturday.
