Mr. Thomas Leverett Davis, age 64, of Warthen died on Tuesday, October 20, 2015.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 24 at the Warthen United Methodist Church Cemetery in Warthen. Reverend Marlon Lastinger will officiate. Pallbearers will be James Lockhart, Bill Garner, Pierce Blitch, Glen Walker, L. H. Carter and Cliff Sheppard.
Mr. Davis was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late Gordon Lamar Davis and the late Grace Leverett Davis. He was a graduate of Washington County High School, the University of Georgia with a degree in Agricultural Science, and he received his Master degree from Georgia College and State University in Business Administration. He was a real estate appraiser and the owner of Tom L. Davis and Associates in Augusta. Mr. Davis formerly served in the Georgia National Guard.
Survivors are: his daughters, Avary Davis Pelphrey of Fort Worth, Texas, Katie Davis Terrell of Watkinsville, and Lucy Davis-Pachter of Simpsonville, SC; seven grandchildren, Nahum Pelphrey, Rylie Pelphrey, Warren Terrell, Callaway Terrell, Helen Terrell, Davis Pachter and Micah Pachter; two sisters, Gloria Davis Lindsey and her husband Don of Riddleville, and Eloise Davis of Sandersville; and a brother, Dean Lamar Davis and his wife Mary Gail of Warthen.
The family suggest donations be made to the Warthen United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Karen Scott 6634 Highway 15 North, Warthen, GA 31094, or the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, c/o Edward Burten, Jr, 11167 S. Sparta-Davisboro Road, Warthen, GA 31094.
