Thomas L. Jackson, Sr.

Mr. Thomas L. Jackson, Jr., age 73 of New Tennille Road, Harrison passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, September 10, 2026, following an extended illness. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Monday, September 14th, at 2:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Reverend Tripp Hodges will officiate. His family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.

Thomas was reared in South Georgia growing up with his family in Tifton, Ocilla, Alapaha, and Macon. The Kaolin industry brought him to Washington County beginning his working career. Thomas began a 41 year working career beginning with Georgia Kaolin and retiring as a heavy equipment operator for Imerys. He possessed a great love of motorcycles and cherished his time riding. He was a self-taught mechanic and enjoyed working on cars. He loved fishing, camping, and cooking with family and friends. One of his favorite pastimes was playing pool.

Thomas survived by his wife Ramona Kay Jackson of Harrison; children, Thomas L. Jackson Jr. and Jeremy Jackson both of Macon, Victoria Jackson of Columbus, Jackie Smith of Deepstep, James Smith of Warner Robins and Michael Smith and his wife Alicia of Macon; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and his sister Annette Nichols of Byron.
