Tillman Armstrong Smith

Mr. Tillman Armstrong "Till" Smith, age 73, of Augusta, died Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Heritage Inn in Sandersville following an extended illness.  A family only graveside funeral service will be held in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville with the Reverend Dr. Stan Littleton officiating.

Till was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta, the son of the late Milus Matthew "Dick" Smith and the late Martha Armstrong Smith.  He resided at Trinity Homes for many years and worked with grounds maintenance at Doctors Hospital. Till's father formerly served as part of the Tennessee Volunteer Football coaching staff and because of that Till became an avid Tennessee football fan always wearing bright orange and never missing a televised game. In addition to his parents, Till is predeceased by a brother, Buster Smith of Augusta and his maternal grandparents, Frank Sr. and Leo English Armstrong of Sandersville.

Survivors are his uncle, Horace Armstrong and his wife Martha of Sandersville and nieces and nephews.
