Timothy Clyde Hanline, Sr

August 27, 1953 — March 2, 2025

Warthen

Mr. Timothy Clyde Hanline, Sr., age 71 of Warthen, GA, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at his residence following an extended illness. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at a family farm in Warthen. Priest Gerome Williams, Priest Tom Van Klingeren, Priest Jerry Gilliland, Priest Ben Van Klingeren, and Mr. Edward R. Hanline, Jr. will officiate.

Tim was born in Toledo, Ohio, the son of the late Edward Hanline, Sr. and the late Dorothy Elliott Hanline. He lived a very full life earning his Diving Instructor Certification in 1974 and spending time in the 1970’s as a search and rescue diver.  During this time, he worked for the United Parcel Service and quickly distinguished himself as a skilled and safe driver, often noting that he could “thread the eye of a needle” while pulling double 40’ trailers. He was promoted into management and then in 1986, Tim and Debby decided to move their family to Cumming, GA.  It was a good move.

In 1987, Tim was ordained as a Priest in the New Apostolic Church, and served the congregations of Cornelia, GA, Sandy Springs, GA, and Roswell GA until his retirement from ministry in 2009.

The majority of Tim’s working career was spent in the logistics and transportation industry, retiring from SunGard Disaster Recovery Services, where he managed the department's Emergency Response Team. During his career, he was instrumental in the development of the Mobile Data Center for Disaster Recovery for SunGard.

Tim enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and camping and would often be found cooking at his grill. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family while sharing stories and laughing.

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Deborah Van Klingeren Hanline; sons, Timothy Hanline, Jr. (Victoria) of Warthen; and Jason Hanline (Heather) of Cumming; grandchildren, Adele, Madeline, Julia, Gabriella, Alexander, Eliyah, Abigail, Yirmyah, Ruth, Mikayah, and Jedidiah; and brothers, Edward Hanline, Jr. (Kathy), Tyrone Hanline (Beth), and Barton Hanline as well as an extensive extended family on both his and Debby’s side.
