Timothy Scott Haynes

Timothy Scott “Timmy" Haynes, age 59, of Sandersville, died Sunday, November 18, 2018 at his residence. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 21 ^st at 1:00 p.m. at First Christian Church of Sandersville.  Reverend Cecil Cook and Reverend Shelia Hunter will officiate.  Burial will be in Brownwood Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Andy Jones, Chris Hodges, Cliff Wright, Jonathan Dawson, Jim Kitchens, Mark Jarvis, Rusty Haynes, and Rob Vinson.

Timmy was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late Herman Orr Haynes and the late Evelyn Sheppard Haynes. His entire working career, which spans over 30 years, has been with Burgess Pigment Company where he currently worked as the loading manger.  Timmy was a member of First Christian Church of Sandersville, where he formerly sang in the choir and served as church treasurer.  He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and loved fishing, boating and traveling.

Survivors are his wife, Beth McDaniel Haynes of Sandersville; brother, Gary Haynes and his wife Faye of Sandersville; niece, Erin H. Jarvis and her husband Mark; nephew, Rusty Haynes; great nieces, Ila Jarvis and Callie Jarvis; mother-in-law, Linda J. McDaniel of Sandersville; and sister-in-law, Becky M. Vinson and her husband Rob of Decatur.

The family will be at the home of Linda McDaniel on Transylvania Circle in Sandersville and they will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home.
