Timothy Cole Maroney

Mr. Timothy Cole Maroney, age 61, of Tennille died on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Washington County Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 12 at Sandersville Temple of Praise with burial in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille.  Reverend Wallace Smith will officiate.  Pallbearers will be William Josey, Keith Joiner, Richard Boyd, Jay Williford, Mike McDonald and Larry Ivey.

Mr. Maroney was a native of Batesburg, SC, the son of the late Cole Marony. He lived in Washington County for a number of years. Mr. Maroney was a former police officer and was a retired truck driver.  He attended Sandersville Temple of Praise.

Survivors are his significant lady, Marjorie Virginia Black Burch of Tennille; mother, Sylvia Mae Jennings Maroney; children, Jason Maroney and his wife Anna of Greensboro, SC, Nicki Maroney Stout of Batesburg, Kolby Maroney of Leesville SC, Bobby Keith Joiner, Jr. and his wife Wendy of Milledgeville, Pamela Josey and her husband William of Tennille and Richard Allen Boyd of Drummons TN.; sisters, Bonnie Murrel of Greensboro,  Brenda Tager of Batesburg and Hope  McLauphin of South Carolina; brother, Keith Maroney of Batesburg; grandchildren, Katelyn Thompson, Julie Maroney, Ashley Lynn Thomas, Angel Virginia Munoz, Alisha Dawn Morton, Christopher Michael King, Tina Denise Barfield, Jonathan Jeffrey Ard and Ava Elizabeth Josey; great grandchildren, Mia Thompson, Lizzy Nicole King, Christopher Michael King , Jr., Chandler Beau Thomas, Brayden Ray Munoz, Bobby Jay Munoz, Jasmin Louise Morton, Raven Sinclair Morton, Jonathan Wesley Keith Morton, Dixie Ann Barfield and T. J. Burke.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Monday.
